Which Foot Cream Should I Use? Some of my foot care cream recommendations - Gehwol, Flexitol, CCS!

A question I get every day at work is, “What cream would you recommend?” In truth, there are a wide variety of excellent foot creams available, and I can recommend many. But which one is the right one for you?

The only way to know the answer is to try them. The skin on the feet is thicker than elsewhere on the body, so it requires a special cream. In other words, it’s better to use a foot cream specifically formulated for the feet!

While everyone has their own preferences and different things work for different people, the best creams often contain certain ingredients such as urea or salicylic acid.

Here are some of my favourite creams that I recommend to my patients, use in my clinic daily, and on my own feet (and all are budget friendly!):

Gehwol Blue

Gehwol: This is probably my go-to cream to use on my own feet and on my patients. It soaks into the skin flawlessly and also smells lovely! It’s a very refreshing and relaxing cream that makes your skin feel incredible. I can’t recommend it enough.

Flexitol

Flexitol: This cream contains urea, which helps to soften and remove hard, thickened skin, making it great for very dry and cracked heels. They even have a specific range dedicated to cracked heels. This cream is a crowd pleaser and a very popular choice among clients.

CCS Foot Care Cream

CCS: Another favourite, CCS foot care cream also contains urea and is effective at keeping the feet smooth and soft. This is perfect for those who like a thicker cream, though it may not be the best option for people who don’t like cream hanging around for a few minutes. It takes a little longer than the others to absorb into the skin but works a treat!

Give one of these a try, and if you find it doesn’t quite work for you, try out another! Everyone’s skin is different, so it may take a bit of experimenting to find the perfect match for your feet.
